Llangollen and my work

You’ve been walking around Llangollen (my home town in North Wales) and have stumbled upon some of my art work on the Wayfinders around town.

I was extremely honoured to be asked to share some of my art for the Wayfinders in Llangollen. Here I am stood next to my otter illustration. This drawing was inspired by a chance encounter with a family of otters playing in the River Dee under Llangollen Bridge late at night. We could hear a strange squeaking noise which we thought was a shop sign, except there were none to be seen on the bridge. After a few minutes we realised the sound was coming from below one of the arches of the bridge. After some more sporadic squeaking, we saw an otter with two young baby otters playing in the small wave below us. We watched this amazing spectacle for around five minutes before they moved on further down the river. It was such a beautiful moment and made me want to draw an otter the very next day.

This experience has not only deepened my appreciation for these playful creatures but also reinforced my connection to the lush landscapes of North Wales. The harmony of nature and the delightful surprises it holds continually inspire my work, allowing me to capture the essence of these moments through my art.

Wayfinder on Llangollen Bridge featuring - Llangollen Bridge at Night

Firstly a massive thank you to Alan Potts for letting me use his photo to recreate into a Lino print style artwork.

The image depicts the International Eisteddfod (an event which Llangollen hosts every year) with flags hanging above the bridge. The river is calm and reflects the bridge lights beautifully at night time.

Illustrated in block print style and professionally printed onto A3 photo satin 170gsm paper. This poster looks great in an A2 frame with surrounding mount.

A perfect gift for anyone who has lived or visited Llangollen, perhaps during the International Eisteddfod.

Shipped in a strong cardboard tube to help prevent damaging.

Shipped within 3 working days. All shipping is recorded to provide track and trace, international orders are recorded and signed for.

Street scene of 'Riverbanc' and 'Whitewater Active' based in Llangollen, with trees and a bench, under a partly cloudy sky and sunlight.

Pop into Riverbanc and buy a print with a yummy coffee.

I sell a selection of prints in Riverbanc Coffee Shop, situated on Bridge St opposite the cenotaph. Here you can grab a coffee and enjoy the views of the River Dee from the decking.
