Evan Davies (A2 Limited Print)

£115.00

Evan Davies is recorded in his original photograph as a blacksmith — and you can almost hear the quiet authority in his presence. His face is calm, the contrast of his pale beard and dark hat making him stand out with quiet strength.

There’s a gentleness in his eyes that suggests he might have spoken softly — despite the strength of his trade. Reimagined in finely detailed pen-and-ink style, this larger format print brings even greater impact. At A2 size (42 cm by 59.4 cm), it makes a striking statement on the wall and allows the intricacy of the linework to shine. While it will fit a standard A2 frame, I recommend using a slightly larger frame with a mount to give the piece room to breathe and add a sense of formality.

This is part of the Welsh Ladies & Gentlemen Collection, celebrating six historical figures from Wales. Each one was carefully selected from the archives of the National Library of Wales and drawn with their permission.

This limited edition of 100 prints of my original illustration.
