Autumn Mushroom Trio | Set of 3 A5 Prints
I wanted to draw three mushrooms that couldn't be more different: one you'd forage and eat, one that belongs in a fairy tale, and one you may not have heard of, with a folktale all its own.
Foraging for Mushrooms: the humble, edible chestnut mushroom
Where the Toadstool Grows: the fly agaric, red-capped and straight out of a storybook
One for Sorrow: the magpie inkcap, named for its black-and-white magpie colouring
Each one is drawn in ink, watercolour and coloured pencil, with loose swirling lines and watercolour bleeds I let run on purpose. They're all different, but they're clearly a family.
Hang them together as a trio, or frame one and swap it each month through September, October and November, so your wall follows the season.
Details
3 x A5 prints, one of each design
Archival heavyweight paper
Wrapped in vellum with a handwritten thank-you note and a little thank-you gift
Posted in a hard-backed envelope
Frames not included
Illustrations only. Never eat a wild mushroom unless you're certain of its identification.
