Morris Portisbach (Limited Print)
Welsh Gentleman in his work clothes, originally photographed by John Thomas around the late 1800's.
I have kindly been given permission to work from his original photographs by The National Library of Wales, and have a limited number of 100 prints.
John Thomas traveled around North Wales with his camera photographing everyday people. He sought out the local celebrities of the area, including various trades in their uniform and traditional dress as featured here.
Morris Portisbach occupation unknown lived somewhere in North Wales, as did all the other Welsh Ladies and Gentlemen. This gentleman reminds me of a very lovely builder who lives and works in North Wales.
This limited edition of 100 prints of my original illustration.
