This is a print of a detailed oil style painting of full pink roses in a vase, close to the window so only they catch the light while the rest of the room stays dark with a rich background feel.
There are a lot of things going on in the reflection of the vase to pick out (other objects on the dining table which you would usually find, but I wont ruin it for you to work out).
Initially a photo, taken last summer, the light was catching their rich, pink shades beautifully and they were just beginning to drop their petals which was adding a lovely bit of drama.
My skills in oil painting were very much pushed to their limits with this painting - it started of with an idea of a simpler looser style but soon changed as I got more excited with mixing so many different shades of pink.
Printed on heavy weight archival textured paper, archival inks this giclée print is created using quality materials.
